SKOG // FOREST

The Skog lamp series designed by Norwegian designer Caroline Olsson consists of several lights in various sizes, shapes and colours, that you can combine to create your own little forest or have as stand alone pieces.
They are all made in mouth blown crystal with a oak base. The design is inspired by the large forests surrounding Magnor Glassverk (as ‘skog’ is the Norwegian word for forest).

As a continuation of the Skog lamps she also created these cute Skog candleholders. These are all manufactured by Magnor Glasswork and can be purchased here.

Emmeselle is a Norwegian design & illustration company focusing on the real and nostalgic objects from Norwegian culture. These lovely hand-drawn illustrations are created by Mona Stenseth Larsen and her back to basic approach of pencil, brush, paper and ink works perfectly with the nostalgic feel.

“We want to honour our nordic heritage and show what we are proud of. By creating these products we want to make it easier for you to remember where you come from and what has made you who you are today”

Loving the simple & stylish design of the new Norwegian passports created by Neue Design Studio. They based it around the lovely Norwegian landscape, highlighting the Norwegian identity with a timeless expression.

I have always thought that the Swiss passports were best, but I have to say that I am now very excited to be Norwegian and hoping to get my hand on one soon.

Seems like Norway is stepping up their design game with these passports & the new banknotes. Way to go Norway!
