What is hygge? Well, hygge is the word on everyone’s lips at the moment, a state of coziness & calm that you will get from enjoying life’s simple pleasures.
I am happy to announce that I recently opened up a brand new Etsy shop! The first item I designed for it is this beanie hat with hygge in mind, because being warm and cozy in the winter is very essential for all us Scandinavians.
The hat itself is a lovely dark grey colour with a cute pom pom on the top. On the front there is a ‘HYGGE feeling’ embroidery, perfect for anyone that wants to spread the hygge feeling when they walk around.
You can find the beanie here, and make sure you follow me on Instagram for upcoming giveaway’s where you can win it!
Who else is obsessed with ceramics? After I visited the home of ceramics this summer, a place called Grottaglie in the south of Italy (which I highly recommend to anyone who loves ceramics), I have been browsing online for beautiful pieces. I especially love when ceramics are handmade with a personal touch, when each of the pieces are unique.
Here are some of my current favourites from Etsy;
This cute planter by ebenotti is the perfect addition to any home, great to have succulents or any small plants in. Each of the planters are handmade with the simplistic herringbone patterned carved out and inlaid with black stain.
Loving this adorable spoon rest designed by noemarin to keep your kitchen bench clean while you’re cooking. With it’s simple design and clean lines, this piece can fit in anyones home no matter the style, and it can also be used to place your tea bag or spoon on.
A fun and modern way to display your rings. These handmade marble ring cones by paperandclaystudio are so stunning, they also come in different colours if you are not as big of a marble-fan as me.

I love hanging planters, and these ones by spinspin are so characteristic.
They are hand formed and then painted with black dashes, making each one slightly different and unique.
These polka-dot ceramic spoons by Coconutstudiopottery comes as a set of two and are perfect for stirring with in your tea or coffee.
Lovely pair of handmade ceramic glasses by MaevoStudio perfect for tea or coffee. They are tinted with different colours to get a beautiful surface, and glazed internally and on the edge.
I love discovering small brands with great products, and thats why I was so happy when I stumbled upon Eco Deer on Etsy! They combine traditional woodworking techniques with modern design to create the most beautiful and creative wall planters. The boards are created using solid eco wood and all the materials are simple and natural.
Their botanical wall vases comes in a variety of design and materials; raw wood, classic black, Scandinavian white, trendy mint and pink. And the great thing is that they are so versatile making it easy for you to customise it exactly how you want it. The Eco Deer can be used both with live flowers or with branches, just put your favorite plants into the glass pockets and change it depending on season or mood!
Here is a selection of images showing the Eco Deer in different spaces;
What would you put in it if you had one? I really love the idea of the bare branches for a minimal look, but like the idea of being able to change it whenever I want. Find all of their wall vases here.
