So autumn is in full swing, and I love seeing all the cozy moments shared this month over on Instagram. For me October has been all about getting out my lovely knitted jumpers and socks, finally having the chance to light candles in the evening as well as enjoying multiple cups of hot drinks! This period is so nice, its not too cold yet (well, at least not here in Italy) but still cold enough to start appreciating those little moments of joy. Christmas is still a while away, so for now lets enjoy the beautiful autumnal colours in nature, the softness of knits & our favourite fabrics, staying in and decorating our home.
I have selected 4 of the images from Instagram to share with you here on the blog, as well as a little quote from each about what That Scandinavian Feeling means to them. And if you haven’t already had a look, be sure to check out the beautiful #thatscandinavianfeeling feed where all the hygge is happening :-)

“That Skandinavian Feeling for me is to be able to snuggle up in large hand-knitted woolen socks with a good cup of coffee in my hand, especially if I can see the snow or cold taking its toll on the outside of the window. That is the perfect feeling after a day when the fresh Norwegian air has whispered on your cheeks.”

“Calm and quiet moments by the sea. Simplicity and beauty in details. Functional life. That’s That Scandinavian Feeling for me!”
3 // @mykindofprettythings
“That Scandinavian Feeling for me is that nature and the sea is never far away… And because of that its easily available to enjoy the silence and feel life itself… The moment!”
4 // @mine_hverdagsgleder
“That Scandinavian Feeling for me is clean lines with only a few well chosen accessories. Less is more! I love the colours in Scandinavian interiors, and since I’m not that fond of glitter & glam I really feel like I’ve found my style.”
I hope you get inspired by these lovely images and words to join in and share your images on Instagram too! Or even just some words here in the comment section as I would love to hear. Its a great way for us all to get together and spread some hygge. So, what is That Scandinavian Feeling to you? How do you create a cozy environment now in autumn time and where do you go for a little time-out of from all the everyday stress?
