GET INSPIRED: WEEKEND HYGGE

2

Happy Friday but most importantly: happy February! After feeling like January lasted forever it is nice to finally be done and dusted with it. This time my Friday inspo post is all about hygge and little ways to find it this weekend. So get inspired and hope you have a lovely few days ahead.

1: Suprise a loved one with a DIY breakfast in a box, such a great way to start the weekend and have a hygge moment together. Get inspired by Burkatron and enjoy.

2: Cuddle up with your furry friends. After all, nothing is more hyggelig than spending time with the people (and animals) you love. This image is of my dog Bowie and his favorite place to spend lazy weekends – in the arms of my boyfriend. Find more cozy moments like this on my Instagram.

3: Watch a cozy film. And when we talk about films, what about Finding Hygge, a documentary exploring Denmark’s secret to happiness?

4: Enjoy your favorite hot drink in this beautiful mug by Norwegian Odd Standard.

5: Bake! The Nordic culture is renowned for its love of baking and baked goods: hot coffee is paired with cinnamon buns spiced with cardamom, and cold winter nights are made cozier with the warmth of the oven. The new Nordic Baking Book by acclaimed Swedish chef Magnus Nilsson is full of inspiration.

6: Have a good nights sleep. Get inspired by these great tips from Slow Living LDN‘s latest post for creating a calming bedtime ritual.

7: Practice self-care. I love doing a facemask in the weekend, and this new Hygge HydraClay Detox Mask by OLEHENRIKSEN caught my eye. It says to help purify, calm, deeply hydrate and reduce the appearance of redness. Have you tried it?
