NORDIC STYLE PRODUCTS FOR YOUR DOG

If you follow me on Instagram you might know that I am a massive dog lover, my little poodle Bowie makes an appearance quite regularly. Because I love him so much I’m always on the look-out for new things for him whether that is a cute new toy, a cozy jumper, a new bowl for his food or a snuggly bed (which I desperately need as he has out-grown his old one and keeps jumping into ours in the middle of the night)…

Below I am sharing a few of my best finds when it comes to Nordic style products. Think cozy, minimal design and functional. If you have a dog too, why not treat him or her?

Labbvenn is a Polish brand and I simply love the Nordic look of all their products. The Föra blanket is double-sided and handmade of a blend which perfectly imitates natural fur. Because they are soft, fluffy and very warm, they will provide thermal comfort to any dog. It fits perfectly together with the Møvik dog bed from the same brand, with a classic form and timeless look. Due to the harmonious shape, the bed moulds to the dog’s body providing a very comfortable rest.

How cute is this little quilted hoodie from Pipolli? Available in grey, pink and navy and bound to make your dog look super cozy and stylish. Inspired by the minimalism of Scandinavian design, Pipolli blends simplicity and style with the goal to create items that make dogs and their humans happy.

This limited edition buffalo plaid dog scarf from Wildebeest is both fun & functional. Keep your pet cozy & comfortable on those chilly days with this irresistible neckcessory! I can just picture my dog looking handsome and smart in it.

The face of this dog says it all; this dog carrier bag available from Amara is the perfect hygge spot. Crafted from a soft cotton mix, the carrier features a removable wool lining and water repellent fabric for easy care. Perfect for taking your best friend out with you wherever you go, and there is also an integrated leash so your dog will be safe and secure in it.

The minimalist design of the Ole Hyvä ceramic food bowl by Finnish brand Kind For Dogs is a prime example of timeless, Nordic beauty. Available in a harmonious colour palette that draws inspiration from nature; Midnight, Feather, Mist, and Blossom.

If you are like me, all the accessories are important, that is why I am intrigued by the look of these minimal ones from lifestyle pet brand Boo Oh. The Lumi leash & collar is simple and sophisticated designed with modern classic aesthetics, and the Toto bag is perfect to store everything you need on your outings from waste bags, treats to keys. They passionately create products that people not only need, but love.

The handmade tepee tent from Hello Pet is made out of gray felt with a soft cushion filled with silicon granulate. The shape of the tent gives your pet the feeling of comfort and safety. Depending on the needs your pet can hide inside or keep an eye on the world outside.

If you enjoy pampering your precious pup, these pretty bow ties from Darling Dear Co will have them dressed up in no time for any special occasion. Designed for modern dog parents, the bows easily slip off so you can use the collar for day-to-day walks.

For dogs that love to bury themselves under blankets, these signature luxury snuggle beds from Charley Chau are a cozy canine delight. The neutral palette works beautifully in a contemporary interior, and the beautifully soft fleece fabric is both stylish, durable and washable.

The Odin is a treat dispensing dog toy with a modern, modular design by Up Dog Toys. Put treats into the flaps and let your dog toss and roll it on the ground to get treats out. You can also attach two or more together to keep the toy fresh and change the way your dog plays with it. Fun for the dog, but also a pretty design item you wouldnt mind having lying around your home.

Created for the modern hound, the Cosmo travel bed designed by Dutch designer Regina Mol for Miacara means your faithful friend can always come along for the ride. Whether your pooch is joining you out for dinner or for a picnic in the park, this designer travel mat provides a soft and familiar place for your pooch to relax.

And lastly, a great way to treat yourself and your furry companion is by getting a subscription box sent regularly or as a one-off in the post. Hygge & Hound has a selection of curated boxes available for human and hound. These can be ordered as a one-off, seasonal or yearly and would make a lovely gift. The boxes contain Hygge and Hound craft and nature-inspired projects, a mindfulness inspired card, natural treats for your four-legged friends, artisan gifts for human and hound, and little seasonally inspired treats to encourage you to take some time out. Sounds perfect to me!
